Yeah, but it's only 512 MB. Haven't tried it yet solely because I don't know of any games that could fit on it.

Well format it to wbfs or fat32 and see if it works. It doesn't have to have a game on it.
This will just let us see if the hdd is a problematic one or not set up correctly.

Also depends on the usb stick being compatible but lets hope it is. Can be trial and error..

Using the USB stick worked no problem. It was already formatted as FAT32, and it worked instantly with every single loader. So maybe my lacie drive is just not compatible?

I'd put it down to that...

Your drive isn't actually in or list

It is in the 300 gb + but when they brought the 700gb+ out they could have used a different enclosure or different drive.
    700GB+

    Samsung:
    - Samsung with Welland iQube Enclosure (Sata Model) 750GB - Working

    Seagate:
    - Seagate FreeAgent Desktop USB ST307504FDA1E1-RK 750GB - Working
    - Seagate Expansion ST907504EXA101-RK 750GB - Working

    Western Digital:
    - Western Digital My Book Essential WD7500H1U-00 700GB - Working
    - Western Digital Passport WDBABM7500ABK-00 750GB - Working
    - Western Digital My Book Home Edition 750GB - Working
    - Western Digital Elements 750GB - Working
    - Western Digital My Passport WDBACX7500ABK-00 USB 3.0 750GB - Working

That's unfortunate Well thank you so much for the help, and I'll post if I'm able to try it out with another drive.

You should submit your HD's specific model # to that list, along with a caveat "didn't work for me"
