    Discs stink. They're touchy. If you've done mauifrogs anywii guide, you're all set. It supports (as far as I'm aware) everything. With a wii that old, i'm guessing the drive's been around the block a time or two, and has probably seen a fair share of spinning.

    Consider getting a USB hard drive. You wont be disappointed.

    I can't speak for Mario All Stars...but for NSMB have you followed this guide

    My backup (disc) didn't work the first time either...but after doing the patch on the iso before burning, the game worked fine. Through the hdd i don't recall ever experiencing problems...just with the burned backup.
