i tried this and now when kirby, or any game launches from usb loader, it gives a black screen. im gonna go back to the cios i had before, but to get this game working, which do i install? i searched the site for dx2 v6 and found a rar with the following inside, and i installed the 1st one which started the black screen at game launch.

    cIOS249[56]-v21d2x6.wad
    d2x_rev6_cIOS247[base58]-v21006.wad
    d2x_rev6_cIOS248[base37]-v21006.wad
    d2x_rev6_cIOS250[57].wad

so which of these, if any, do i need for kirby?

What usb loader are you using? Some older versions of loaders do not work with d2x, so you may need to update them.

CFG v70 = Configurable USB Loader v70. I think you are a bit confused as there is no such thing as 249 rev70. Also, "loads using 249" says nothing - 249 is just a slot to put a cIOS in, what matters is what cIOS is put there.

You should install d2x using Red's d2x installation guide (link is in my sig) and go from there.

Ok here is the scoop for Kirby - It runs on IOS56 v5662.

Original disc loading - make sure you have IOS56. You can use Multi Mod Manager to check and see if you have this. If not, MMM can download and install it for you.

USB Loading - Use a cIOS with a base of 56. Maui's guide puts it in slot 248. Some other configs put it in slot 249. Either way, just make sure you have a base 56 as one of your cIOS.

If you are missing cIOS236, you should probably just follow the ANY Wii guide through from the beginning. It will get all of your IOS and cIOS up to date. If you think it would help, you can post a syscheck (guide in my sig) and we can go from there.
