Previously Softmodded Wii No Longer Plays Any Games

OK, so I soft modded my Wii awhile ago, and it worked fine, played backups, normal games, the works. Decided it was time to update to a newer version of everything, so I followed the guide here on Wiihacks to softmod any Wii. Didn't seem to work, as any game I tried to play (backup, or retail) would not play, in any channel, so I did it again to make sure, and still nothing works. I get error code 1208 in Neogamma. It is indeed 4.1U, and of the discs tried, one is retail, 2 are burned, one being Verbatim, and one not. None of them work on any channel, even the original disc channel. Anyone got any idea on this one? Like I said, it should be able to play backup games, since it has been up to this point, but Neogamma says the date on the drive is 07/14/08, so it most likely won't play any DVD-R's, but that makes no sense. Thanks for your help.

Been there, done that. They suggested a different cIOS and rev. Still no joy. And just to make sure it isn't the games, I tested them on my other Wii. They work just fine. I also tested an original retail disc, to eliminate all doubt. Nothing.

I don't know why you have issue. The wii does not happen to have a modchip? Just a shot in the dark.

Nope. It's only ever been softmodded by myself.
