We Sing RW doesn't recognize mic (no problem with Guitar Heros, Band Hero, Rock Band)

    Hi to all!

I hacked my Wii 2 years ago and recently "updated" it by following Mauifrog's Softmod ANY Wii guide. Since then I have no problems running most games.

Recently I bought the Guitar Hero Warriors Of Rock instruments (guitar, drum and mic) and have no problem using them with all Guitar Hero games nor with Band Hero and Rock Band 3.

When I want to play We Sing Robbie Williams, the game marks that I must connect a (Logitech) microphone. Does that mean that the Guitar Hero WOR mic doesn't work with the We Sing series?

I tried different IOS's. Most Guitar Hero's work on IOS 223 but 222, 223 and 224 doesn't even let me start We Sing. With 249 and 250, the game starts but doesn't recognize the mic.

The games are on a WBFS formatted hard drive in USB slot 0 and are loaded with USB Loader GX. If additional info is needed, ask me .

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi peire,

    Thanks for your reply.

If I check with the Softmod ANY Wii guide I followed:
    [...]
IOS222 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access, USB 2.0 -hermes v4 base-38
IOS223 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access, USB 2.0 -hermes v4 base -37/38
    IOS224 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0 -hermes v5.1 base-57
    [...]
IOS249 (rev 21006): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access, USB 2.0 -wani cios38-v21d2x6
IOS250 (rev 21006): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0 -wani cios57-v21d2x6

Does that means that I should try again with IOS224? The others have another base. Maybe off-topic, but where can I find more information on what this "base" means?

Okay, I will try again with 223 and 224. If it doesn't work, I'll post a SysCheck

Okay it was weird. I tried starting We Sing RW with following IOS's in this order:

Global setting (IOS249) => game started, but didn't recognise the mic
IOS223 => after a few seconds black screen, the System Menu appeared
IOS224 => after a few seconds black screen, the System Menu appeared
IOS222 => after a few seconds black screen, the System Menu appeared
IOS202 => black screen, had to hard reboot the Wii
IOS250 => game started, but didn't recognise the mic
Global setting (IOS249) => game started AND recognized the mic!!!!!

Next I tried We Sing Down Under
Global setting (IOS249) => game started, but didn't recognise the mic
IOS250 => game started AND recognized the mic!!!!!

I have no idea how this is possible, but the mic got recognized and works in-game...

I tried a SysCheck but whilst checking for IOS vulnerabilities, the DVD-drive started flashing for a while. It seems that SysCheck crashed or something. I saw it's version 1.6.2. I will update this, this evening or so...

PS. USB Loader GX is the latest version
