    Help with softmod.

I had my Wii softmodded on system version 4.1U and my nephew installed Netflix which updated the Wii to 4.3U and I lost the softmod and the HBC. I did however keep all of my other channels, NeoGamma loader, USB Loader, My Menuify etc. I used "this tutorial" to reinstall the HBC and got my Wii reading backed up game discs but my USB loader channel wouldnt recognize my USB drive. I read some things and thought that maybe I needed to do a Trucha Bug restore. It failed, so I wanted to check to see if my other channels were working and I installed a theme for my 4.1U menu on my 4.3U menu and now my wii freezes when I go into my settings. I was wondering if there is a way to restore the menu back so I can access my settings, a way to delete all the old non working channels I nolonger have WADs for and what I need to do to get my usb drive to work. Thanks in advance.

You found the right guide. Keep following it. The any wii guide can be used to update your existing softmod, and will bring you back to 4.1. Follow the whole thing. start to finish.

PS: MyMenuify- unless you're using one of the OLDEST wiis with BootMii installed as Boot2, you're taking unnecessary risks.

I followed the walkthrough and it worked perfectly but after I finished the walkthrough I messed it up. Is there anyway to fix it? I believe what I need to do is install the original system menu for 4.3U and that should fix it. I have priloader and bootmii installed I just dont know what to do.

Could you elaborate as to what/how you "messed up"?

I had system version 4.3U. As part of the tutorial I installed a patched version of the 4.1U system menu. I then used Mymenuify to apply a 4.1u theme and now I cannot access my wii settings.

Wow. You are lucky you didn't fully brick! Mymenuify = Mybrickify. Your idea to fix it sounds good, but I am no brick expert. You should wait for someone who is to come along and guide you before you make a bigger mess. Just be patient.

Edit: In the meantime maybe you should take a look at the second link listed below in my sig regarding Brick Prevention.

Edit2: Wait a minute...did you do what Blu said and then try to use mymenuify again? Or did you just not follow his directions and re-state your original problem? If you did the latter, follow his advice!

I followed the guide the first time and Idk if it put me back to 4.1U. If I restart the tutorial from the beginning and reinstall the patched 4.1U menu would it fix it? I also have the Wii System Menu v513 wad, if I installed that would it fix it? I stumbled on "this guide" so I am gonna try it.

EDIT: Well it worked I can get to my settings and I am on System Menu 4.1U. However, now my backed up games wont read, I get a disc error message.
