Homebrew Channel and Neo Gamma R7

I am really an OLD pc person, and decided to play with a Wii for fun. The model I bought had firmware 4.2E on it, and I found an easy to follow PDF file by Bally12345 with photos of the screen at each stage. This allowed me to install the Homebrew Channel and Neo Gamma R7. I downloaded three Wii iso files (PAL) and burnt them with Nero 8 and a Lite-On DvD burner. The console does not recognise any of them through Neo Gamma.
What should I expect from a Softmodded Wii..or am I doing something wrong with the iso files????

First thing you are doing wrong is downloading games. Piracy is not supported here. If you decide to back up your legally purchased games then we will be more than happy to help.

You should make an introductory post here. A mod will be along to give you links to a bunch of great guides that will help you learn how to do stuff with your Wii.

Usb Loaders have the ability to rip original games to an external hard drive. Also, there is a homebrew app called Superdump that allows you to back up your discs via wifi.
