i need help with Game cube backups

Hey, alright so ive followed the softmod your wii guide "http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/60921-guide-softmod-any-wii.html" and the "http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/47802-play-gamecube-backups-your-wii.html" guide and i also checked the game cube compatibility list, but i still cant get game cube backups to work, im using imgburn to write the iso's to disk and im using sony DVD-R's as the backup disk's and the games im trying to get to work are Metroid prime and metroid prime 2 and fire emblem path of radiance, i wrote the disks at x2 speed, and ive tried using neogamma and Wiigators GC Backup launcher, ive tried all 3 disks but none of them work, on neogamma after it tries to load it suggest that my drives are too new from 2009/11/21 and cant run DVD-R's, but i got my wii from around when the wii first came out, could this be because i sent in my wii to get it fixed for super smash bros brawl? And is there anything at all i can do to fix it and run backup disks?
    Thanks

Nope. Those newer drives do not support backup disc loading. Sorry Yoshis95.

Do a search for drives made prior to the D3-2 chipset. Thats when backups stopped functioning.

Lol yeah they can be pretty expensive. It's all a matter of how bad you want to play gamecube backups. I just googled it and found some for $69. Until someone figures out how to load them via usb looks like you are stuck paying if ya want it that bad.

    other options...........

    Yoshis95,

its a bummer you've had a backup-resistant drive fitted, but there are other options for GC loading:

    Swiss loads from SD-gecko adapter
DML (dios-mios lite) loads from front SD slot!

or if you're gonna spend the $$$$.............wode jukebox
