Holy haberdashery, Batman! I've done something incredible on a minisculicly noobish level!

I took the files for LetterBomb and replaced the boot.dol file with an app boot.dol file, and it ran the app! It also said that one of the ios's needed to be repaired, and went back to the home menu.

And so, i say to whatever it was that was impeding my hacking: My rubber lips are immune to your charm.

lol, jk, i do have actual lips. so what should i use to fix up my wii? Seeing as it works perfectly fine, i don't need (necessarily) to virginify my wii. If someone could point me towards a software which could fix the ios problem

btw, the error it shows is:
custom ios 249 is a stub. please reinstall.

I don't really need homebrew because i really only need to use two hacks (and incidentally, i have two SD cards ripe for the, eh, wii'ing? i dunno): gecko and an iso/usb loaded game. What brought on my thoughtlessness was the result of noobish attempts at getting a usb loader to work and being stupid.

Ah, ok. Sorry, i was just adding new info without editing, because long post was long, so I thought a new post would make it easier for people to read/help me.

Now (so they don't have to wade through all of that nonsense) I need a good program which can fix my custom ios'es. I can run one app at a time. i do not have homebrew, however, i am able to boot apps using the letterbomb method. My ultimate goal is to be able to play usb backup games/iso's.

EDIT: Is Pimp My Wii by Attila a good program to fix my ios'es and cios'es?

If you can run Homebrew through LetterBomb, you could possibly follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide.

    Wouldn't this help?

Sadly, no. I am somehow blocked from using homebrew channel. It simply won't install for some reason, so i have to manually run homebrew apps.

If you can manage to run one app....make that app the Hackmii installer and follow the Any wii guide as Binary Wave suggested.

I cleaned this mess up a bit, maybe we can find a solution for you.

The Hackmii Installer hangs, according to the OP.

You'll have to do it without, and run the Hackmii installer after to see if it works.

The risky part is continuing without Bootmii, so that might be a problem.

alright, i used the Multi-mod-manager to install ios 36/236 and 249. I managed to get the usb loader working, but the usb doesn't show up now, it says it's not responding. I'll check the usb threads, see if there's any info there. Tried reloading HBC, but no luck.

And thanks so much for cleaning up the thread, it makes it quite a bit nicer.
