    Cool Rock Band 2 IOS?

    To start I'll tell you what I have and maybe you can enlighten me to what I need.

    I have a d2e chipset with a D2Pro9 v3 mod chip with the 2.3 firmware. I have my wii firmware downgraded to 3.2u from 3.4u. I have homebrew channel and wad manager. I installed dvdx and mplayer. I installed ios36, 53 and 55. i did the wii shop thing too and have gamma channel. i have my backed up rb2 game iso burned to a verbatim dvd-r @ 1x using imgburn. well the wii doesnt recognize the disk and says something to the effect of "take game out, turn off wii and btw you suck" so if anyone knows of any specific ios or cios i need it would be a great help because i cant seem to find anything to make this game work. also i installed starfall but i dont see a channel for it. is there supposed to be one? i know dvdx is a hidden channel so i didnt know if starfall was too. perhaps if anyone knows if there is a page for what games install what updates/what games require which ios that would make a lot of sense. anyhow thank you for all the help and i hope to hear something back soon. cheers

    There is a cios required, But that is to make the Rock Band 1 instruments work with Rock band 2.

    You should at least be able load the game, You just load starfall through wad manager, Select what options you want on and then let it do its thing, Once you've done that you don't need to open it up again unless you want to change the options.

    You have hbc installed, Try geckos or gamma loader and see if that will boot the game.

    This thread has the files needed to get the instruments to work, Post #4

    just one quick question. will installing these ios' and cios' mess my wii up if i end up using all of them? does one make another invalid or anything? ive just been trying every ios i have seen and hoping i wont brick my wii. when it comes to the cios' i start to get very confused. im not sure what they are, but even if i dont need to know that much i dont know how to properly use them. i am under the impression i am to use gamma backup loader to load a file on the root of my sd card. is this correct? just put this cios in the root and runit from backup loader? if not i still have more searching to do but i think im getting the hang of it. and just to clarify, installing the ios' and cios' is in lieu of updating the wii from the game/internet correct? instead of doing the entire upgrade to say 3.4 i am just installing the necessary files or commands to play a certain game? this is my understanding at this moment. thanks for all the help gents.

    ok so i DLed all the ios' and cios' i think i will need (cios37 and cios 249) along with ios38, 53, 55, and I think cios 36 was installed when i downgraded and put gamma channel on my console. so im going to do this;

    install cios_installer.dol (renamed boot.dol) using my backup loader (gamma)
    install cios249-ios36-rev07.wad using my wad manager.

    if this is correct someone let me know and if it is wrong someone PLEASE let me know. this is what I have come up with though so please dont kill me if Im still wrong. its 100% possible at 2:30am on January 1st, 2009.

    actually dont I use HBC to use the .dol file?!? this is where i get confused. dammit! put it in a file folder names apps correct? and then load it using what? HBC or the backup loader?
