yeah. this is my thread ill pseudo-curse all I want lol. back to my topic...the post where it gave me the cios installer and other files it also gave me a folder titles source with many files in it and a README text file. in the text file it says offline installation of cIOSX I will need these files...and then goes on to list roughly 15 files or so. Do I need these files as well? it says to download them and put them in a folder. I am offline at the moment since I haven't been able to get my new apt hooked up yet.

Re-read the post in the other thread, All you need is the .dol file from that zip, Disregard the source folder and what not.

i see what youre saying but i was actually talking about something different. in addition to the source folder there was a read me text file. when i read it it stated "if you are attempting an offline update of this iso you will need files 0000,0001,0002,0003,0004...on to 000e. so do i need these files when i install the ios offline? when you install an ios does it connect to the internet for the files it needs? and if i was attempting this offline would i now need these files? i alreadu downloaded them but i was just wondering. i think im under the impression that the wii connects to the internet to get the files it needs when you attempt to install an ios but i may be wrong. my girlfriend tells me im wrong all the time. anyhow id appreciate it if anyone knew cuz otherwise why would he/she put this "offline attempt" instructions on the readme file. thank you again for all your help. you guys are the best.

Yeah, I just used it as it was stated and I think it downloaded some content if I remember rightly, Just let it download what it wants then you won't have any problems
