    Homebrew Apps as Wii Channels???

I keep seeing people's video demos that have what seem to be homebrew apps on their main Wii screen. I know that having something like that on the main screen will affect the RAM, but I would find this better than letting my....uhh.....technologically challenged wife wander through the homebrew channel in attempts to do something mundane like loading a DVD.

    As always.....any help is appreciated!!

    Thanks,

    A:O
