How do you update to Config. USB Loader 70?

I had a problem after donig all of Mauifrog's steps, where the Config. USB Loader wouldn't work for me. It was suggest I update to version 70. So I have downloaded that version...but how do I go about upgrading it on the Wii? Do I need to format my SD card again and then extract it onto there and then do what?

Delte the usbloader folder that is on the apps folder and put the donloaded one.

If its just a boot.dol, delte the boot.dol on the usbloader folder and replace it with the newer boot.dol

Sent from my iPod touch using the WiiHacks App

I did what you said, but now when I click on the USB Loader on the Wii Menu, it ends up just going back to the Wii Menu.

Otherwise, I previously used USB Loader GX before my Wii was updated and that was wrecked. It's still on my menu screen and all of my games should still be saved on the hard drive I have plugged into the USB. Is there a way to uninstall that and then re-install GX so the games still work? Or, will those games still work if I'm trying to use Config. USB Loader and finally (hopefully) get that to work?

Try accessing CFG from the Homebrew channel to make sure it works. And YES your games will work with any loader, doesnt matter which one you use.

I don't even know how to access it from the Homebrew channel. When I click start on Homebrew, it brings up a blue Homebrew screen but there is nothing on there to choose. If I hit Home button, it brings up the main options that it usually does but none of those will allow me to access CFG. I probably didn't do the recommended step correctly from Richardsito and obviously not doing cjizzle's recommendation correctly either...but when it comes to this, I'm a complete moron. I basically need it step by step and very easy to follow. Because I don't understand about 75% of the stuff talked about here.

LOL. Been there bud. Takes a lot of time and reading. I was scared to death the first time I modded my wii.

Since there is nothing in your homebrew channel, that must mean that your sd card doesnt have any apps in the right place and/or it is blank. What is on your sd card? For example, do you have a folder that is called "apps", and if so what are the names of the folders in it?

When I first click on the SD Card, it shows one folder - Cfg_USB_Loader_70

Inside that folder are three items. One is another folder - inSDRoot....and with that folder are two other items - a license and a Readme.

Clicking on the inSDRoot folder I have two more folders. An Apps folder and a usb-loader folder.

Inside the Apps folder is USBLoader folder. In that folder are four items: boot.dol, icon, meta, sample_config

Well there is part of your problem. The sd card need to look like this: SD:\apps\usbloader\. The inSDRoot folder is wrong. Look at the name of it. It means that everything in that folder needs to be "In the Root of your SD Card", meaning not in any other folder. For example, in your C:\ drive you see folders like Program Files, Windows, etc. Those folders are "in the root of your C drive". When you click on the drive, those are the folders you see (aka the ROOT). Move the "apps" folder to the root of your sd card and then run it back to your wii and start homebrew.

So far, that worked a little better...but the CFG then says "Searching for config.txt
[ USB Mass Storage Device ]

    Says Device is not responding.

    I suck.

Do you get to any menus at all or does it say that right on startup?
