Ah, alright. So, I download this?
If you would like to update your wii ios- NOT needed for 4.3 wiis
    Download IOS Update.zip
    Extract to sd:\ -mirror
    Overwrite files if asked

Also, the updated GX Loader didn't work, but this time, it went back to the home menu after loading. I'm using the GX loader for IOS 249. The game I'm trying to play is Dance Dance Revolution, but that isn't the only game that stopped working. SSBB works fine, but things are getting really confusing on why they aren't working. Just a while ago, my Wii wouldn't fully read the SD card, it took me a couple of retries to push it back out and in for it to be read.

Ok, so I was kinda having the same problem. I use an external HD because my 3 year old destroyed a bunch of disks when he was like a year and a half. So I have a WBFS drive with no other partitions and It has been running about 5 games since at least January. Since I have Iso's of all my games on my computer i loaded up WBFS Manager 2.0 to load more games for my son. After that the new games i added worked but the old ones on the drive did not. I kept getting that black screen.

I've been searching on here for a day reading problems and found this. I did the IOS update just this morning and the games would still not load. So, just now I reformatted the drive and used WBFS Manager 3.0 to reload all the games. I just tested loaded everything and now they are all working.

I've diagnosed the problem to this: WBFS Manager needs to load all the games at the same time, it can't just add a few here and there to the drive. I don't know if it was a problem with 2.0 and it was fixed with 3.0 or if it is just a WBFS Manager problem.

Moral of the story: Try reformatting the drive with WBFS Manager and reload all games at the same time.

If you load from the original disk it CAN be added 1 at a time using the loader..
