Priiloader is more popular, but I suppose StartPatch would work in a pinch if for some reason Priiloader wasn't available. I guess the OP was unaware of the need to follow that guide you referred to, that would have taken care of his IOS/cIOS issues and got Priiloader installed for him so he could block updates.

I did. Not being allowed to link external guides to help doesn't mean "don't post any links to external guides at all" or even "if you didn't use one of our guides we won't help you". The link was only there to show what I did, not as an endorsement.

I looked at the guide, and I'm not sure. Regardless, I don't want to softmod my Wii that extensively, and especially not patch system IOSs. This is also why I don't want Priiloader. I'd rather know what went wrong, if anything.
So whats the verdict on the account deletion?
I think I'll let it be for now.

I would cut the attitude. We do not allow linking to external guides and that is it. We have guides on here so we assist with guides from here not ones from external sites.

Explain your problem without the external link and we will still be able to help.

I'm not having an attitude. The forum rules page simply doesn't say what you're saying it does. If things are as you say, the forum rules page should reflect that, and there should be a disclaimer that says you only help with problems that don't stem from following external guides so no one wastes their time.
