Thread: Netflix channel on overseas Wii

    @mauifrog - What process did you use to achieve this? I'd be very interested to try it. I'm a little reluctant to change my Wii's region, if I can avoid it, as I imagine it might raise a whole bunch of new problems for me. What I've done so far is install the necessary IOSes and installed Netflix from a WAD, but that didn't work. Do you think the Shop Channel is a necessary part of the process?

    I change the region of my wiis with the method in my softmod guide. There is small risk, but it is very safe, I have done it back a fourth many many times. Just follow the directions.

    @fbplayer - No, I signed up for my Netflix account in the US
    I've changed my EU Wii to US without a problem. I was able to download Netflix from the shop channel.
    I've got an internal setup that spoofs my ip address (using astrill) which I checked on the Wii using the Internet channel and any site that checks your ip address.

    So everything seems to be okay, but when I start Netflix there's just a black screen :-(.
    No idea how to solve this.

    SN or MAC check? Hope not.
