Us wad Installer and Wad Manager issues

Hi, i'm presenting both of these issues since they may be related. I've been working on these for awhile (this happens on two different wii's, I have softmodded both) and I can't figure it out from google searches

So the issue with WM1.7 is that I can install a channel, but when I attempt to use it from the wii menu it just restarts the wii menu. No error messages.

this is the guide I used to install WM1.7 http://sites.google.com/site/complet...se/wad-manager

The issue with Wad Installer is that I will load it from HBC (updated to the latest) and get "ERROR This is not a valid wii application"

I have tried installing IOS58 using IOS58 Installer - WiiBrew
    and IOS's 247-249 using IOS249 - GAF's Wii Homebrew Tutorial
    and removing all Starfall mods
I have completely uninstalled HBC, rebooted, and used Twilight to reinstall HBC. it is fully upgraded.

    Facts:
    -3.2u
    -Hard Modded
    -HBC Installed and Reinstalled
-Starfall softmods have been disabled completely due to advice from other message board, didn't resolve issue
    - I believe the Trucha is in my system, I followed this guide http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios/waninkoko
    - All channels added before, presumably with Twilight, still work fine.
    - cUSB Loader works fine
    - All other hbc apps work fine

This is all I can think to add that's relevant. Ask me anything that I forgot/didn't know to include. I'd appreciate any help with this.

forgot to add that I also tried YAWMM and it did the same thing as WM1.7

If you install a forwarder channel and the app is not in the apps folder on your sd/usb it will return to the main menu.

Follow the softmod any wii guide...

You followed random guides and I dont know what you installed/uninstalled on your system so just follow the guide from where it says "softmods with hbc installed"

My forwarder channel install was doing this, but it also exhibits the same behavior when I install a VC type channel, so I figured it wasn't the forwarder being set up incorrectly.

I was a little worried about doing ANOTHER guide, but I think that did it, for at least one of my wii's. I have no reason to think that it won't for the other.

Only hiccup is that I can't go directly from Priiloader to HBC (says "Error autobooting HBC, maybe title not installed?") I don't see this as a problem for anything other than convenience; should I be worried?

Thank you so much, dudes. Donation incoming.

I went through the "New 3.1-4.1" softmod guide with the second Wii today and ran into a snag.

The wii I used this with had an error on step 3d, which I forgot to write down but I think it might have been "ret = 1029" i'm not sure though, and I was afraid to run it again.

I decided to move on to step 4b and got the error "Installing title... ret = 1029" already sent a PM to Dogeggs about it, but I'm wondering what anyone else thinks.

    Thanks for all the help.

the error on 3d is after Content 21, 22, and 23 have been added, it says:

    Installing Custom IOS Please wait...
    Install ERROR! (ret = -1035)

Use the edit button instead of multiple posts!

Title with a higher version is already installed: The cause of 1035 error is when you try to install an IOS with a lower revision over-top of an IOS with a higher revision. Most common reason people get this error is when they try to downgrade IOS15 using DOP-Mii, TBR, MMM.....any app that downgrades IOS to install a patched IOS36 (you can also get the error if your IOS36 revision is too high when it comes time to install the IOS36 with patches).

    2 causes - 2 Solutions

Cause 1 - using an app like DOP-Mii, TBR, MMM that does not support the IOS revisions currently installed.
Solution - Fix it by using MMM 13.4

Cause 2 - Trying to install over an IOS with a higher version number
Solution - Fix it by using IOS236 to install with (or cIOS38 rev 17).

That guide is quite dated now, have u read the softmod any wii guide?

bugger, I actually thought the 3.1-4.1 guide WAS the "any wii" guide that was referred to earlier. Should I just start over with the actual Softmod ANy Wii guide or should I try your solutions?
