But you obviously didn't make a NAND backup. Do you have one already?

Seeing as how you are on 4.2 you should be able to use a SDHC unless it's incompatible.
Woah, calm down. I didn't update through Nintendo. I knew I could update without updating through nintendo, so I did. Like I said, the 256mb worked fine, the thing updated no problem. And I know I made a nand backup when I initially modded the wii so I could probably find it if I need it...

I just had to make it clear not to follow the previous advice you were being given. I wasn't accusing you of updating through Nintendo...Just making sure you didn't do it in a quest to fix your problem.

Yeah, I understand. While I'm up to date in the wii modding world, has there been any cool new apps, mods, etc in the last 6-12 months that I should install?

That depends on what you are in to and want to do with your Wii.

I dabble in just about everything...I don't know what kind of stuff is offered for the Wii so I can't tell ya what I'm looking for. Is there a central location where I can find a list of the most popular or common apps? We need an app store...or a wad store, lol

By the way since you made me think about it I created a new NAND backup. I definitely couldn't have used that 256mb card for that since it was like 500mb but it allowed me to use my 8gb SDHC card so no problems there.
