wiimote not syncing in wad manager

hey, kinda new to wii hacking so sorry in advance if my questions seem kinda dumb. anyways after i try to select which iso to run in wad manager (default iso249) and press continue, my wiimote turns off and i have no idea why?

Im running 4.3u on a black wii if that means anything. i have nothing installed except bootmii and the homebrew channel.

this is kinda whats happening to me (Removed video site link)

You might want to do some reading on softmodding.

It sounds like you haven't completely softmodded yet!
Follow the softmod any wii guide in my signature (click "useful links" spoiler)
    Start from homebrew already installed.

NOTE: I removed your link to Youtube! Even though it was just a vid of your situation,
the vid once finished lead to failtube guides! Here at WiiHacks, we do not recommend
following any outside guides, especially failtube ones!

What OddGriffin is trying to say is complete the softmod process there is more to it than homebrew and bootmii installing.

Just follow the mentioned guide to a T , and you will be fine!
Don't skip any steps, and read it 5 times if you have to!

I might not want to softmod my wii though! I want to know what it does to the wii! Like besides running backups, what else will it do?

Is this the only way how to use wad manager? Cause all i want to know how to do is be able to use wad manager to install the wiimc channel and once i click ios249 the wiimote turns off.

I just want to know what softmodding will do for me.

Well...Softmodding will add 249 and solve your problem for starters.

Is there any other way of installing ios249 besides softmodding?
