Nope. It never went past 0.2 and hasn't been updated in like 2 or more years. The program is very outdated and the code included in and improved upon by WiiPower's NeoGamma. I wouldn't recommend GC Backup Launcher to anyone.

OP - how old is your Wii? Is it even capable of playing burned backups?

NeoGamma for GC backups. The D3-2 drives that killed DVD compatibility was released about mid 2009 so if you bought it after that it's a pretty safe bet you can't play burned discs.

All consoles have a 2006 copyright date...At least in the US. That doesn't prove anything. If you buy a Wii today it will have a copyright year of 2006. You have to go by what drive it tells you that you have.

oh sorry well all that site told me is that
Your drive most likely has the following chipset:

    • There is a 75% chance the chipset is GC2-D2B (no cut pins or missing pad).
    • And there is also a 25% chance the chipset is GC2-D2B with cut pins.

so i think thats good? :S
