    Wii points and updates

I have been using Hb and usb loader gx for sometime now without any problems, recently my daughter has been playing " just dance 2 " and wanted to get some new songs from nintendo however when I get to purchase them it ask to update and it wont go any further.
Does anyone know how (if possible) to get Wii points without updating as I didn't want to brick my Wii?

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread but I have been reading for days and cannot find an answer.

    Thanks in advance

Hi desperado and thanks for the quick reply. I have read several forum pages and my head is done in,lol, I did the softmod a couple of years ago and I am happy to leave things as they are as everything is working fine but my daughter is also doing my head in as she wants more songs for the game.I do have priiloader hacks installed and enabled for disc and online update so does it mean I can update the shop channel and proceed with the Wii points purchase or will that overwrite the mod? Sorry for the lack of knowledge and I do really appreciate your help.

Hi again desperado,I am sorry to bother you again but I have just tried updating the shop channel but it is asking me to do a system update and not just the shop channel.

Am I correct in thinking that if I do that the update will over write the mod?

    Thanks again.

Never mind I think I have found the way to update the channel without updating the system

    Thanks all the same!

For anybody with the same issue follow the info in the following link

Yes you are! Never accept a Nintendo update. You install the shopping channel wad with a wad manager. Have a look in my sig and you will see a ios and channel thread. Get it from there. No need to delete anything it installs over the top...
