Here it is. If you want to update your system menu version, you either need to:

    * Follow the directions, softmod, and go to 4.1 (you can go to different region) OR
    * Find a (J) !! game that has a newer system menu on it.

It sounds to me like your drive might be going if you're getting disc errors. And discs stink anyway, usb loading rules.

My 2c for what its worth.

Okay so I did it. I followed the guide. The games that gave black screens before now work, so yayBut the others still give disc errors. Like Trauma Center, which is the game which I wanted to make work in the first place :/Is there any way to fix this? Do i need to install an ios?

It may well be that the drive on your wii is going, or that the media is imprefect. Do you have a usb hard drive kickin around? If so, I'd recommend checking out the fat32 guide to transfer your games over to the hard drive. Even if you get read errors during the game, you may be able to transfer over to the hard drive. And imho, loading from a hard drive is more gooder than discs any day. And you can quote me on that.

true to that, also use good media with burning, prefly slow.
cheappy flashdrives works too!, and, again, HDD's are much preferred now.

okay so i transferred some games from discs over to my usb hdd. and they work great even some games that gave disc errors before but trauma center won't move!! ughh it goes to 100% and the result is in red instead of green, i can't find a file on the thing ( is the disc badly burned or something, because the scratches on it are very minimal, and the other discs with the same amount of scratches ripped just fine. how come it reaches 100%, but doesn't save the file?

Do you know anyone else with the game, maybe you could rip theirs? Or maybe rent it? It's gotta be something about the combination of your game and your wii, I'd think
