If you wanna change your grass (or snow) style from 1 to 2 or 3, don't change anything else, just the style, save the game, put it back in your Wii, run the game and after that you can change other things with a new dump of the game. If you change more than the style the game won't start anymore!!!!
you got to assume these things, when you edit/hack your save =\

Hey, thanks for the tip! If I had done that I wouldn't have known why the game wasn't working. Backup is our friend!

You can't get the savegame from the gamedisk. First you'll have to put the Homebrew on your Wii, than you'll have to put 2 more programms onto your sd-card in order to get the savegame out off your Wii onto your sd-card, than you'll be able to edit yor savegame with actoolkit using your pc, finally you put the savegame back in your Wii and play the game.

You can find everything you need (Homebrew, actoolkit, save extrtactor an save installer) somewhere on this site.

thanks!, just one question. what do you mean get 2 more programs? do you mean saves, or homebrews? i've had, and have been using the homebrew channel for about 6 months ish now. and when i run wanikoko's gamesave extractor, it says something like : Error! ret = -1. what should i do?

I really don't know what you're doing wrong. You have the homebrew and you're using the savegame extractor, so far this is right. I follow these steps to get a dump:
Turn on my Wii, put in the gamedisc, run homebrew, run savegame extractor, press reset on the wii, wait untill it says Ok!, press power on the Wii, press A on the controller, shut down the Wii. Never failed to get a dump.

We got a burned disk as well, shouldn't be the problem, maybe you need to re-install homebrew etc. or burn a new disk. We got a hard-modded Wii and some friends got a soft-modded Wii and everyone is able to get a dump. No problems whatsoever.
