    USB Hard Drive Nightmare

I've backed up some games to my external hard drive but every now and then when loading the games on it they all freeze and give a blank screen. I then have to format the WBFS partition and copy all the games over again. Why is this and can I prevent/fix it.

Maybe some files get damaged, or the disk might be dying. You could try FAT32 USB loading. I think FAT32 is a bit more resistant against filesystem corruptions. Or use ext4 if you know how.
Awesome sig picture does not work

do a chkdsk in windoes and check the disc completely

    start > run > cd {driveletter} > chkdsk /f

in windows 7 you can simply rightclick the drive go to properties and then extras and scan the drive completely.

i had a problem once where everything disapeared and that was due to unplugging the hard drive while it was writing to the index on the drive and that made the disk lose all the file information (you get floating files) after the scan the disk should apear normal again and all files should be there again and working in the wii.

i dont use a wbfs partition tho i use ntfs and a wbfs folder instead.
