Is there a link where I could download an updated version of the BootMii? Cause I'm pretty sure there has to be another updated version of it. Or is it?

I think I might've accidently deleted the BootMii from somewhere. Do you need another Bannerbomb to get to the BootMii?
You can either download bootmii.zip and extract it to your SD card (follow the instructions in the zip), or run Hackmii Installer.zip from the HBC and reinstall bootmii.
If you know you have the latest version of bootmii installed, use the first option since it is easier. If you don't have the latest bootmii, or you just don't know, I suggest you reinstall it to update it.

Bootmii will backup everything, but SGM GX will allow you to restore save files without restoring your entire NAND. If your NAND backup is old, you might lose a VC game or two if you bought them after your last backup, but you can re-download them from the Shopping Channel for free since your account is online. Your progress in games will be reverted to your last backup if you restore it.

This is my process for restoring NAND. I backup my saves with SGM GX, restore my NAND with Bootmii, re-download any channels needed, then restore my save files.

I got the Bootmii now. I downloaded the updated .dol file which applies to the SMG GX.

Do I put the .dol file on the root of my SD Card and active it?

Something that annoys me about that is that they don't bother to post the meta.xml, icon.png, or config files that go with it. I packed them for you. Just extract the contents of Savegame Manger GX.zip to your SD card.

Ahh, now that makes it clear! So I just put it all in my apps folder and just follow the instructions?

I just wanted to get all this stuff correct. I am nit-picky when it comes to handing my "years of progressing" data. :U

After extracting it you should have this setup:
    SD:\apps\SaveGame_Manager_GX\boot.dol
    SD:\apps\SaveGame_Manager_GX\icon.png
    SD:\apps\SaveGame_Manager_GX\meta.xml
    SD:\config\SaveGame_Manager_GX\SaveGame_Manager_GX .cfg

There will be other files in the folders, but that should give you an idea of how apps are supposed to be on your SD card.
