Question 4.3u softmod cant play burnt dvd games

ok so i succesfully moded a 4.2u that was upgraded to 4.3, dvd/usb work perfect. i also moded another 4.3u the usb loader works, but i cant play dvd. i read that some of the newer wii that came as 4.3u have problems with dvd games, and to try installing darkcorp. i tried reading it all, and couldnt really figure it out. can someone tell me what to do next. i used the 4.3u softmod guide on the forum. i just want games off the dvd to work as well.

Wii's that cannot read a burned DVD started to appear in Nov. 2009, so if your Wii is newer than that it will only read retail game discs.

enter your serial number here - http://www.wiidrives.com/identify
if you have a D3-2 or D4-2 drive then burned media will not work in your wii

Darkcorp will only work on a Wii that doesn't have a DC-3 or D4 chip. The Wii you were hacking does, rendering Darkcorp useless.

or are the older games a comletely different file that i use for my wii?

Piracy is not supported. It is, however, legal if you own the game. I can't give you a site, because I would be breaking the rules.

You've got some reading to do both on our rules regarding piracy and what you are trying to do. For N64 you will need Wii64 but it isn't exactly the greatest of emulators. There is info on it in the first part of my emulation guide. Your Wii will play retail GC discs out of the box. To play backups you'll have to patch your MIOS and either have a Wii that can play burned discs or if you own a SD Gecko or IDE-EXI adapter you can use Swiss but the compatibility isn't great yet. I've personally only got two games to run with Swiss thus far. I've posted a guide on Swiss and Stomp_442 has a guide on playing GC backup discs.

Try reading. It's only new Wiis that can't. Older ones can.

actually, regardless if you own the game or not, roms are not legal. Nintendo roms, at least.
