Multi Mod Manager and USB issue

I modded my 4.1U using Mauifrogs guide with success. I then copied all of my SD files over to a 750gb WD Essential formatted to FAT32. Today I decided to use the MMM to load two files and couldn't figure out why there was a problem using it. The drive has a blue light that is continuously on and sort of scrolling back and forth when reading/writing. I noticed that when I open MMM and click on any of the applications the drive will shut off. When I click the home button to exit MMM the drive comes back on. I tried using the SD card that I used to transfer over the files and it reads and works perfectly. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm new to this. I wanted to load a forwarder for the Home Brew Channel and thought that I could use MMM to do this. So I went through the Home Brew Channel and tried to load MMM. The option screen came up with App/ISO/Wads etc and I scrolled down to WAD and noticed that I was getting an error. I looked over at my USB HDD and noticed that the blue light was out. I then hit the home button on the wiimote which exited MMM and the light on the drive reappeared. I tried this several times with the same result. I then tried loading MMM from the SD card that was created when I modded the wii and it worked perfectly - now mind you I used the samefiles from this SD card when I transferred them over to the HDD so its just a duplication. My question is why can't I successfully load MMM from the USB HDD.

Why do you want to do this?

This is because the softmod pack load MMM via cBoot2. If you want to use MMM in the future to install something you will have to reload the IOS it uses. At the bottom of the selection list in MMM look for "Load another IOS" and change it to IOS249, IOS236 or IOS36. You will find one that works.

Thank you for your help. I wanted to use a forwarder for Home Brew Browser (my mistake for typing Channel) - just to make it a little easier to use. Thank you for your patience.

Read the MMM guide in my sig. You don't need to reload an IOS every time if you use a config file set to load a specific IOS. MMM Loaded via cboot2 will only work from an SD card not USB device. Once modded you don't need to load MMM via cboot2 just load it from HBC like any other app.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Well......each one keeps the drive light on but when I hit any of the applications within MMM I get the message "Error mounting device: usb" after I select the storage device.

These are the IOS files that you suggested on my wii:

    IOS249 rev20
    IOS236 v54321
    IOS36 v54321

Sorry Krank I guess I was experimenting with the IOS files and replied before reading your post. I'll read your suggestion.
