    Problem With Corrupted Games

    Hi!
I'm using WiiFlow 2.2 [249] on Soft-modded Wii running 4.3u, 500g Seagate Go/Flex WFTS Formated and everything was going great I started using this loader 1) it looks great and 2) it's easy for my little boy to use. Well GX was giving me issues to play some games and also it kept corrupting some games and I had to reload them, sometimes when I install a game another one stops working I stopped lading them from .iso I thought that was the problem so now I only load strait from Game DVD and it's been working fine for about a week well I bought my boy Lego Indy 2 and popped it in and Bob's your uncle it worked perfectly but my boy hadn't played Bee Movie in a while today he tried to and it gave me the black and white letter screen saying DS something Dump and a bunch of freaking letters and numbers again like it used to do with GX WTH!! Haven't updated anything since I installed 249 .20 or something like that to play Black Ops, so I don't know what to do to fix this. I posted somewhere on this forum if I could upload my Wii configuration thing like some people do to check if everything is installed like it should but I've had no reply... So thanks again and sorry if it's in the wrong place, I know I can always reload it again but it gets frustrating ps I've got over 40 games in the HDD all legal (scouts honor) don't know if something starts happening after you install more and more games??

Thanks for the reply but I've also use that one since it came-out on and off but it doesn't give me a dump screen like GX or Wiiflow, What CFG gives me is a frozen screen with something that says "Panic" something when I pressed load game!! Also it doesn't have a Password to stop a game from being deleted, I know when using USB Loaders your gonna get glitches cuz no Loader is perfect... I mean maybe I'm making a big deal out of it, Thanks again!

If more than one loader is corrupting games, it may be your hard drive. I have heard mixed reviews about the seagate brand ( I have set up 4 for friends with no issues though, all free agents).

GX 2.0 should work fine, I have had no issues with it. 40 games is not the problem, I am sure of that! Maybe a cios issue. I put in 250 for black ops and kept my 249 the way is was. Maybe have a look through the GX guide and try again.

Not real informed on wiiflow but maybe reread that guide too.

CFG loader should not give you any issues either, it does have parental control setting as well. They are a little more difficult to figure out though.

Thanks I will buy a new HDD to start new the one I'm using I've had for a year storring avis' and VOBs', What HDD do you recommend and should I use WBFS again or go to Fat32 I've heard you don't need WBFS anymore and that Fat32 is more stable since on WBFS if you install a game then erase another, one ore more games may become corrupted!! Thanks again for your reply!

Go with SanDisk, or search for the USB Compatibility List.
As FAT32 and NTFS are probably stable, WBFS compresses them. If you are putting games on a FAT32 or NTFS, convert the .iso files to .wbfs. Then use WiiScrubber to allow for faster transfer times, among other things.

EDIT: I've also never had a problem with WBFS. But go with FAT32 and compress. Easy enough. WiiFlow and CFG should recognize it.

I also have this problem, no updates or anything done to my wii.. Out of a sudden, got an Exception (DSI) occurred error and a couple of code dump and stack dump messages on the black screen... Is GX 2.0 really that unstable?
I realised its only after more games are added to the HD that i have this problem, but when i checked the HD, the memory still have 30GB free space! Is there any other loader that is more stable?

I too am getting the Exception (DSI) error with code and stack dumps, but under CFG USB Loader, and only at the point of launching a game. I'm using a 250GB FreeAgent Go drive with FAT32 partition. The loader was working beautifully until I tried to install a game which got about 80% through then returned errors which I think said ret [-2] or something to that effect. So I removed the game but since then, all other games that had worked previously give me this error. I suppose the HDD could be the culprit but I've still got over 200 gig free so could that 16th game install REALLY cause the issue (i.e. trying to copy to a bad sector or something)?

P.S. I used Wii Backup Manager to compress games from .iso to .wbfs format

How much free space you have doesn't affect the chance of corruption. It would take some time, but you could format your HDD, then rip all your games with Configurable USB Loader. They will automaticly be scrubbed, converted to .wbfs files, and split if neccessary. I suggest you do something else during the ripping process because it will seem to go faster.

Hey Guys sorry to jump in But I read a lot of people worrying about compatible Hard Drives, I have modded a few consoles for friends, I use whichever mod is suitable for the version the unit is delivered with. I Always use a tut' from this site. 3.4 4.1 Dogeggs 4.2 shadow sonic
4.3 mauifrog However I follow it right through NAND Backup, priloader and all. I Then use EASEUS PARTITION MANAGER. I completly remove all manufacturers software Total formatt. Load up as FAT32 PRIMARY & ACTIVE. Any portable HDD Seagate, Transcend,Pluscom. Cheap stuff from internet 60gb,120gb 150gb, 160gb 250gb 320gb 500gb. I have never had any problems. I run over 100 games on some drives. I usually set up with cios 249rev 19 hermes 222/223/224. I add a couple of random IOS for CSI Games COD3 loaded from disc using Neogamma 9 beta 46.
I also load cios250 57 v20 with wadmanager 1.7 to slot 250 to play certain games. CFG 60. I use Wii Game Manager load up ISO files choose game right click it and choose create wbfs file...... no split. That seems to keep file to a minimal size. I have the set up to download 3D covers to Hard Drive. Play Away Wiiers. Am I just Lucky or Is IT Because I read a lot before jumping in.

    ENJOY YOUR WII!
