Savegame Manager GX - Unable to copy to Wii?

In a bit of a panic right now. I recently just formatted my Wii completely, and re-softmodded it. But before I did that, I backed up all my Wii game saves using the Savegame Manager GX. Extracted all the saves to my SD card and also my Miis. Now, the strange thing is, I was able to transfer my Miis over just fine. But it seems I cannot install my backed up saved from my SD card, to my Wii. And yes, I did put the disc inside the Wii and started it up and created a save file for that game. Ie, Mario Kart. Made a license and I see the new save under Wii Save Data. I go into SGM (savegame manager) and I click on Install for the gamesaves, only to see it say "Unable to copy" for each and every gamesave I'm trying to install, especially Mario Kart. What could the problem be? I have cIOS 249 rev 21 installed. I'm on a 4.1U softmodded U Wii.

If anyone can help me, and calm my nerves from this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    What does that mean?
What version of SMG are you using, and why did you format in the first place?

Did you change versions of savegame manager? The save files have to be made with the same version you are using to install with. Why the heck did you format? That doesn't usually go well. You could have just remodded over whatever you had.

It means that SGM couldn't install the Mario Kart to the Wii. I am using the very latest version, r97. And I formatted because things on my Wii were getting a little sluggish, as in it took about 2 minutes for the Internet Channel to load, and about 1 minute for the Wii settings to load. Just to calm my nerves early, mind telling me if I'll ever get my gamesaves back?

Ohh that could be the problem. I will go get the r96 (or whatever version I was using before) then. I believe that is what I used. I will come back with results.

I'm not trying to freak you out, but I don't know. Now could you please explain what you mean by "especially" Mario Kart?

Sorry, it was just a game I picked out from the list. I just meant that the Mario Kart save ALSO didn't install, even though I had a save on my Wii for it. Does anyone happen to know what version of GSM was before the newest R97?

Ok, WOW WAS I AN IDIOT. I have just noticed that there were 2 folders on my SD card with the same name, so I had 2 GSM .dols on there. I believe that was the culprit because now I just tried installing the games and I got no error. I am so sorry everybody, it was totally my fault. Thank you for your suggestions though.

My guess is you downloaded it from the HBB, then it auto-updated. Is that right? The HBB downloads it in a directory that isn't the default one, so you end up with two copies of SGM GX if you autoupdate.
