If it doesn't then please post in the guide with what happened and where you are stuck and I or someone else will help you. I appologize if the instructions were nto exact but that doesn't always happen. Maybe if you reported it I could work on the guide and update it will all possible outcomes. Benifiting both you and anyone else that used the guide.
Yeh I'll post exactly what happened in the guide, i don't mean to bash it or nothing but I'm just getting annoyed because it's taking way too long to format it properly

I can see how you would get annoyed as it should be a simple, quick process but that's not always the case when dealing with things Wii related unfortunately.

Maybe it is the file system. Maybe you could partition it half and half and it will work...maybe it will work with WBFS I'm not sure....that's why sometimes you have to try different things until it works.
    Damn I suck!!!!

I have not read the guide on here, but I do remember being asked to name the new volume, or enter new volume label or something.

Thank god my sister came over with her laptop which uses Windows 7, I installed Easeuse on there and did the guide and it worked, so I apologize, but for the record it wasn't something I did wrong I was using my laptop which uses XP and on XP it said it had to restart the laptop which messed it up, but on Windows 7 it just did it and that was it.

Now the bad news, CFG isn't working any better it's the exact same stupid way, confusion confusion confusion

I don't know how your setup is exactly, but mine is running CFG version 61b 222 m-load, I'm also running ver20 on base 38. This works perfectly for me with no problems at all, except for the KNOWN problem games (Splinter Cell DA, and Call of Duty 3). ALL other games work fine.
My only suggestion would be check that you have followed all of the steps to the letter on the soft mod guide, perhaps you may have missed one??.
Also, see if you can use a different HDD to see if the problem is still there, or at worst try a different loader? (although in my opinion, CFG is the best)

I know forsure I softmodded my Wii properly because my 250GB HD works the best, I'm starting to think that maybe 2TB is just too big for it? I'm gonna try making a smaller partition of FAT32, like 500GB or something and see what that does, if that doesn't help, format to WBFS? I might have to

probably the 2T drive consists dual/multiple discs inside ( unlike single disc for a 320GB unit).
would it cause the lagging of file reading, on Wii/usbLOADER application ? i suspected.
a smaller partition may help ? i'm curious.

Are you using the latest versions and/or revisions of CFG?

I believe so, v65, I googled latest version of CFG USB Loader, my 250GB works with it but my 2TB just loves to click and freeze on CFG, watching movies on WiiMC doesnt bother it one bit, but now I'm kind of stuck with my old slow laptop again so I can't partition my drive again right now, Easeuse won't work on my laptop using XP, I need to fix this, the more I hear the drive click the more it's urging me to smash it lol
