Flingsmash asking me to update already modded 4.3 system

    Hi,

I have a new 4.3 wii that I sucessfully modded about a month ago, installed Homebrew through SuperSmash Brawl disk, installed USB loader GX and have about 15 games already backed up to an attached hard drive which I can play fine with USB loader.

Now, when I try to insert the new Flingsmash disk, it asks me for wii system update as it can't run it for some reason without the update. I thought it had something to do with Wii Motion Plus remote, but I already sucessfully ran Wii Sports Resort disk which requires that remote without issues. And yes, I do have Wii Motion Plus remote.

Now, how can I bypass the system update issue without actually trying to update it?

    Please advice.

    Thanks!

back it up to your hdd to bypass update option.. also disable disc/online updates in priloader options.

While turning on your Wii, hold in the reset button, priiloader will load. If you followed a recent softmod guide here at WiiHacks, then you should have priiloader installed.

Why don't you utilize the links I gave you in your Intro here? Someone's not learning

you know, if you install the game to the usb hdd, you will not see a prompt to update your wii. why did you softmod if you are going to play from a retail disc?

Ok.....thanks for the links and the guides, but I ALREADY modded my wii, so am I supposed to "re-do" it?...Second, I had the same exact issue with wii Sports Resort game. I backed it up to HDD, but it still said it won't play w/o update, so I had to update it, then re-mod wii, and luckily did not get bricked, but I don't want to take that chance again.

I don't think I have priiloader installed. How do I do it? Too late?

Like I said, if you softmodded with a WiiHacks guide then you should have priiloader installed, just enter priiloader like I described and block disk and online updates. If you didn't softmod with a WiiHacks guide then do so, there is one in my signature, it don't take long. Yes, you can softmod again. I you feel confident of your softmod being up to date, then browse the forum, all your questions are answered in the threads here at WiiHacks.
