    Disk could not be read

    Hi everyone.
Have a small problem, maybe someone can help.
Had a zelda hacked-homebrew installed-wiigator working wii. Everything was fine until i got my hands on the new super mario galaxy 2 and backup channel started to give out error #002.
Googled around a bit and fount that there is an easy solution - upgrade yeah .. right
Updated my wii to 4.1E, updated my homebrew, installed bootmii, priiloader, backed up nand and everything else the guide told me ( http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html ). Now, i DID use an 8GB SDHC. Theres a line somewhere in the tutorials that you should use a regular SD card. Maybe that was the problem ? But everything installed fine and got no errors.
Sadly i didn't work. When i tried to play ANY of my back up games the wii gave out error "the disk could not be read". So, started to browse the forum again and found that theres a darkcorp hack. Swell...
So, followed the guide and installed that. Everything installed fine again but the problem still remains - "the disk could not be read". I can play original games just fine and heres the funny thing - if i load an dvd-r disk i can see the startup icon in the wii menu and when i try to run the game it eve shows the warning page but dvd+r doen'nt even show that.
So, whats the next step ? I think the safest thing to do is to uninstall darkcorp and reinstall all official ioses back, right ? But when following this guide ( http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...i-console.html ) i run into a problem - step 3. The guide says to download ONE of the following:
    cIOS_DARK_236.zip (Requires IOS236 installed)
    cIOS_DARK_249.zip (Requires base38 install on 249)
    cIOS_DARK_250.zip (Requires base38 install on 250)

BTW, syscheck hangs on "Testing IOS9 vulnerabilities" and I don't have a zelga game anymore so whatever you guys suggest, DONT delete my homebrew

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

    Thanks for your quick reply.
Used cIOS_DARK_249.zip to uninstall darkcorp. Everything OK!
But still can't run syscheck. Don´t know how to run the app in root, like the guide says ( http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-check.html ) only when installed in sd:/apps folder. Checks IOS4 and then hangs on IOS9. Generated reports manually on IOS4, IOS9, IOS11 and IOS12 (next ones on the list) and here are the results:

    IOS4:
    sysCheck v2.0.1 by Double_A
    ...runs on IOS58 (rev 6175).

    Region: PAL
    System Menu 4.1E (v450)
    Hollywood v0x11
    Console ID: 62883138
    Boot2 v3

    Found 85 titles.
Found 44 IOS on this console. 0 of them are stub.

IOS4 (rev 3): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, Flash Access, NAND Access

    Report generated on 2011/01/29.

    IOS9:
    sysCheck v2.0.1 by Double_A

    IOS9 (rev 54321): Trucha Bug

    IOS11:

    ...runs on IOS58 (rev 6175).

I did try neogamma, but if my memory serves me right, that gave me error #001.

You know, Ithian has a PROPER DarkFail/cIOSCORP removal guide; likely something is munged in your efforts to remove it.

Where can I find that ?

Also, this might me a stupid question, but if system check hangs during IOS9, but i can generate reports for 9 and 11 just fine, does that mean that the problem is with IOS10 ?

Step 1) using google or the search function type: "Remove cIOSCORP/DARKCORP from your Wii Console"
    step 2) follow guide.

Did I come off like a jerk?? Read more here

I know I haven't smoked my medicine yet today, but isn't the link to Ithian's guide in the OP's first post? I would suggest following that guide after reading it at least twice. Very carefully.

Good point, I missed it other than seeing his reference to a zip file.

It seems to me, the above seems to be a partial misstatement. Hangs maybe during IOS 10 based on this (rather than 9 as reported above)? Those are NOT standard revision IOS...
