Upgrade Wii modded by unknown person

I have a 4.2U Wii here that was purchased second hand and was modded somehow. I'm about to run Syscheck on it to see what's installed. My end goal is to have it set up like mauifrog's guide and have IOS 249 Rev 17. I assume I can overwrite any and all IOS's already installed without hurting anything. There's an old copy of Neogamma on it that I haven't seen before but I'll have to remove it using the Wii channel manager.

I don't know if BootMii or Priiloader has been installed. So the first thing I'm gonna do is run the HackMii installer and see if BootMii is installed. I can't remember but I think Syscheck may say if it's installed or not. Either way, I need to get into BootMii to back up his NAND. Priiloader will come next. Should there be anything to be wary about when messing around with a Wii when you don't know what's installed on it?

DVDX? I hear it's not needed anymore but it will play backup discs so I assume it's installed. Should I just leave it and update all the IOS's according to the guide?

Gamecube backups. I followed a guide on here, Stomp_442's I believe, that allowed me to play Gamecube backups on my Wii. Mauifrog's guide installs the same version of MIOS so I assume it's fine to let it install. I guess?

Basically I'm just wondering if there's anything I should be concerned about when updating all the IOS's?

You should be fine. The best thing to do would be to run the whole guide, then you will know exactly what is there and we will know how to help if the need arises.

That's cool. I was hoping I could just do the whole guide again. I'm gonna backup the NAND before I uninstall the backup launchers. There's like six of them on here! lol

Says BootMii is installed as boot2 and as an IOS. I don't know which version of BootMii it is but I assume it's fine? Should I just leave it?

nice, you have a boot2 machine. I would run the latest hackmii installer (it's in the guide) and install everything fresh.

Yeah the boot2 option seems to be pretty rare. Mine and my brother's Wii were the only ones that I've come across until now that had the boot2 option. That's like 3 out of a dozen Wiis or so. I know ours is pretty old and my brothers was probably a launch model. This Wii here must be fairly old too I guess.

Okay so everything is peachy now. Tried to install the latest USB Loader GX v2.0 but kept getting 1022 error in Wad Manager 1.7 so just installed r938 instead. Normally use the latest Neogamma for everything but always install a second loader. Everything works perfectly. One funny thing to mention though. When you put a backup DVD in, it shows the game in the normal disc channel, just like if you put the retail disc in. If you put a Multi-ISO Gamecube DVD in, it shows the Gamecube symbol. I've never seen that before. I know of Darkcorp/CIOSCorp but I didn't install it. He says it never showed up before I started working on it. Any ideas? It doesn't show the backup game on the disc channel on my Wii. He says buddy said he couldn't load games through the disc channel so I assume that Darkcorp wasn't installed. Even if it was/is, I don't know how to check for it?
