Newbie - 1st Burn - So Near So Far - Help

Hi Guys,

Have soft modded my console with the zelda hack. Homebrew is up and running and I have Gator 0.3 gamma loader installed.

I have downloaded FIFA 2009 NTSC (my system is v3.3e PAL). Burnt it at 4X to verbatim DVD+R.

When trying to access via homebrew channel I get the loading screen for EA Sports and the progress bar gets to approx 100%...... Then it freezes.

I have tried forcing PAL , Forcing NTSC but no joy with either.

I have tried the reboot with hook method and the FIFA screen appears in the Disc Channel. It can be selected and when I push start in the main screen I am left with a black screen.

Can anyone please point me in the next direction.

Any help much appreciated.

the loader sucks, nothing more really, wait for chris for his 2 cents

First of all I have had the best luck with dvd-r not +r also use imgburn and burn at 2x i have done several games this way all work perfectly also firmware 3.2 works the best with backup launcher i believe so u may want to downgrade youre firmware.But try -r first with imgburn at 2x see what happens.

it works best with 3.2, but +r and -r are just based off the Dye, not the + or -, if the dye works it works, if not then it doesnt

Ok I didnt know the diff between + or - just know that Ive been using fuji - and havnt wasted one dvd yet.

Downloaded 6 games since and all have been succesful. Seemed the problem was the FIFA download was not a the PAL version.
