HBC channel blank no apps just bubbles

Hello all, i hope i am posting in the right place.
I recently started using my Wii again after having it sit there for a long time, i loaded up the HBC channel then i loaded up Hombrew browser and it said i needed to update it. So i did and i think i must have done something wrong because when i tried launching it after i updated it it wouldn't start i kept getting cannot load sd card errors. so i got out of there and just tried to play a game, i went and loaded my usb loader gx and i played a game for a little bit then when i exited the game and tried to launch the usb loader from the forward channel that i have it wouldnt work it would just load back to wii menu then finally i went back to HBC channel and found that it was empty no apps show up now just screen with bubbles. I tried formatting the SD card and replacing all my files clean on the SD card and the HBC channel apps come back for the first time, then once i load the usb loader again it goes back to no apps showing up in the HBC when i go back to it. Im on 4.1U does anyone know how i can fix this?

I updated HBC and am having the same issue. It seems to happen when I pull the SD card out to add updates or wads...or anything for that matter. I do get it to work eventually though. What I've found works for me is while on the HBC page, I remove the SD card and then reinsert it. Sometimes I do have to do it a couple of times for it to work. Not sure if that's good for the card or not, but you might try it.

I found a temp fix for my situation, I just put the SD card on Lock and then put it in my wii now when i load usb loader play a game and go back to wii menu and enter HBC channel all the apps still show up, but if i unlock the card and do the same thing the apps wont show up after the initial run, so seems like the wii is changing something on the card when its locked it cant write anything to it just reads off it. I still havent tried re launching the hombrew browser, On another note i will try to get a video of it up for you to see today have to find something to record with.

what version of HBC do you have? it shouldn't be the wii makes no sense. I have a Wii 4.3U and and Wii 4.2U and they were both using a 8 Gb SDHC micro sd card with an adapter
so that means you should be able to do so too... The 4.2U wii i have is from 2007 and the 4.3U one i have is from 2010

i have 1.0.8 HBC now that i think of it back to my original post, i think i updated the HBC channel and not the hombrew browser and thats when it stopped working correctly, because after i put in the 2gb card i launched HBB and it worked for the first time after i updated HBC then i updated the HBB. so my 4gb card was working with the older version of HBC i had before i updated it......

Did the wii version 4.2 update the card reader at all? make it work better with HDSC cards or something im still on 4.1, but maybe the new version HBC just didnt like my card or something

I tried this a couple times, with the 4gb card but it wouldn't work correctly anymore after i updated HBC, anyway the 2 gig card i bought is working perfectly. So i guess im going to just stick with that one.
