Black Screen Freezes Randomly Occuring

I have the approved 500GB WDBAAR5000ABK-00 external dive, USBLoaderGX works pretty well, it can crash when I set the Carousel to be multi-rowed, and when I scroll quickly from side to side it will show that the discs have no downloaded images. Games start fine but then they hang on a black screen at what seem like random places. I have gotten stuck on certain spots and then immediately retried and got passed them, only to get hung up on other spots. Only Donkey Kong Country Returns has had zero issues. Tiger Woods 2011 is a bad offender and I have put it on a 8GBUSBFlash Key and played many hours without issue. USBLoaderGX seems quicker with the FlashDrive as well. This leads me to beleive that the 500GB WDBAAR5000ABK-00 drive is not reading fast enough or maybe going into a spindown powersaving mode. Im on 4.3 with a new Balck Wii. I would really like to hear some suggestions to solve this. Thanks

From your story, it indeed seems that your hdd is not reading fast enough. You could try using cIOSX rev21 and install it to IOS249, using IOS58 as base. It is said, that using IOS58 as base is faster, although wen a mod tested it, he reported that he did not notice any difference. It is worth a try though. Other than that, I can only suggest trying another loader, or another HDD.

Do you really think that a different USB loader could help?

I figured it would make no difference, but its worth a try I guess.
