    USB HDD Not recognized at a loss need direction.

    Ok i soft modded this wii a year ago have done nothing to it since. Istarted working on it the other day and last night i updated the ciosx to rev 20. Had some microphone issues with certain games got that fixed. then i uninstalled GSX loader and installed CUL Loader and a forwarder for it now the wii does not recognize any hard drive hooked up to it. ran a sytem check this is what i got. any info would be greatly appriciated.

    are you useing cfg loader? if so it wont run on rev17 needs to be 19+ if your hdd is fat32

    yes cfg loader and it does say rev 17 i didn't notice that in the sys check i've got rev 20 i'll reinstall see if that fixes the problem but now i have another problem i tried reinstalling gsx loader from the wad and it say's "ERROR (ret -1029)" so now i can't even reinstall the loader i had on it.

    That's not specific to the loader, it has to do with cIOS rev 17.

    Also the statement you made is untrue. It works perfectly with 222 from FAT32.

    In your loader make sure it's looking for the correct partition (WBFS1, FAT1, NTFS1). Update to Cfg USB Loader v60 and try again.

    Do NOT install the wad version of GX. If you need to use GX then use the dol version from your SD card. I recommend avoiding it though.

    ok i've found something from a DEC 2010 post now when i install rev 20 do i use the base IOS57 or do i use IOS38 sorry guys never had a problem till got some games the peripherals wouldn"t work on.

    if your planing on playing blackops,glee,def jam rapstars they run on base57
    if not you can use base 38 upto you

    Thanks i got it working again just needed a little input and a breather i guess got to frustrated to think. Thanks again guys! Can i run it on both 57 and 38 cause black ops and def jam rapstar are two of my games and i went ahead and used 38?

    if you want you can play your games on 222 and have 249base57rev20 for your blackops and def jam rapstars

    Any cIOS with a base of 57 will work, not just rev 20.

    OP - We have guides for most problem games, search for them.
