    Blackscreen on all USB games

Heres hoping someone can help as I have not seen this problem before.

My sister has given me her Wii as she says that the machine was working and now it wont load backup games. I have tried USB loader GX on 249,222,223 and 250 but they all just blackscreen every game. Nothing loads?? I ran Dop-Mii to get a look at what was installed and it ran out the list below before it just freezes and I have to turn the console off. Any ideas greatly accepted as I can clearly see that my own Wii doesnt look like this

Found 35 IOS on this console.(although the last ones are not listed as it kept crashing)

Remove darkcorp/cioscorp by following ithians guide.

Then use cios 38 rev 17 installer to install cios 249 rev 17

Thanks for the tip. I have used the guide to uninstall Cioscorp via MMM and checked that the syscheck is showing correctly installed IOS's.

I have installed the Waninkoko 249,250 and Hermes 222,223. I am still getting the blackscreen. but I have noticed that it will bring up a 'Disc Error had occured, press eject and reset unit' . It also does this for Genuine games via the disc channel as well!!

I think that these two issues may tie in with each other? Any more advice greatfully received.

    Luke.

Sounds like your DVD drive is going or gone. In order to be able to load from usb you need a fully/semi functional DVD drive. I recall another thread here where mauifrog and another user were troubleshooting the same problem and the culprit was a dead DVD drive. If you have access to another DVD drive try and swap them to test if it works with another drive plugged in.

I think you are right!! Have tried everything possible to get the games to load and it is not happening. Absolutely nothing plays on the drive.
Thank you for letting me know that the usb loader is reliant on the DVD drive working to run USB games, it all ties in nicely now.

I will have a look online for replacement parts.
