    Softmod ANY Wii, need help

I have read the article about Softmod ANY Wii on this site but am bit unsure how to go about the whole thing. I am really new to computing and to the Wii, was told I could use an external hard drive and put games on it and then when want to play a game can just go to the external hard drive and pick one from there and play it without disc. So now this is what I need help with please 1/ going to try and follow instructions from SoftMod article and use the recommended BannerBomb now do i connect the Wii up to my computer by USB cable and install things from there that is explained in the SoftMod article straight onto my Wii or does the Wii have to be hooked up to a TV as well as computer and external hard drive or how do i go about doing it please ? 2/ now if have to install programs that are in Softmod article onto the Wii is there anything that I have to install on the external hard drive so that it works with the Wii so I can save games onto it and play game from it ?
Hoping someone can help me please and explain step by step what i have to do as want to set this up for my daughter and I really don't have a clue on how to go about doing it, really would appreciate some help, Thanks

everything you need will be in the instructions....and dont attempt until your confident you understand(read a few times)

you put mod pack on your sd through your computer then put sd in wii and launch each app etc as instructed in the guide

when you complete the softmod follow a guide to set up your hdd go with fat32 loading

I think u have the wrong end of the stick here. U use an sdcard to use files from the PC on your wii. I suggest u read one of the guides in the guides and tuts section linked below.

You want a step by step instructions to a guide that already thoroughly describes every step? I don't get it. Just read and follow the guides instructions. You really can't get any easier than it already is.

Please post any questions that relate to a particular guide/thread in the same thread as that particular guide. You would think this to be common-sense, but evidentally not and it is getting tiring. Thread closed.
