USB HDDs now only working 10% of the time.

I went to work on monday and everything was fine. My house was empty, so no one touched my games. When i came back, i turned on the Wii and got the usb port 0 error in Wiiflow. None of my loaders would see any of my hdds.

Ive rehacked the wii using ModMii, reinstalled all the wiiflow, usb cfg stuff, cios and so forth. No, when i get the error, i can unplug/replug the different drives in and maybe once out every 10-20 tries, it will load up like nothing is wrong. So whati know is that its not the Hdds, PRETTY sure its not the IOSes, MIGHT be usb ports failing.

So, am I [expletive removed] out luck?

It's probably not IOS. My guess would be the HDD, but you seem to be quite certain that this is not the problem, so the next thing I would check, would be the USB cable.
Awesome sig picture does not work

two different HDDs, and one 8 gig thumb drive have all magically started behaving the same way today. if its not the IOS then the usb port has failed. any other suggestions to try?
