    Hi, thanks for your input... I'm asking because I want to know, not because I'm going to do it.

    Just want to know if I would be able to use an external USB DVD drive?

    Yes you can I think uloader is the only one that supports it

    Plus you have to use a special drive that can read Wii games. A regular DVD drive won't work.

    Yeah but it's just common sense if you could lauch Wii games with any drive then you could just insert the disc in your pc, run dolphin and off you go

    Thanks everyone for your input, now, is this something hackers are working on to get the new drive to read copies? Or they are just going for the USB method...

    Again, all I want is the info in case my friends ask me and stuff.

    No I doubt any other USB loader team are working with USB DVD drive support. Nobody uses that lol
