Wii 4.3u Soft Mod Hard Drive No Longer Loads Games

I soft mod'ed my wii (it is on 4.3u USA), it worked for 2 weeks. Today I went to transfer 3-4 more games on my hard drive using Wii Backup Manager which at the time was formated as Fat32, the wii would no longer load the games. It did not update and I have since formatted the drive as NTFS and the Wii format using 2 different programs and transfering the files onto them. I am using the newest version of wiiflow to load the games. Any help and advice would be appreciated. Looking for some help with CISO thinking it might be one of those that could be the problem, I say this because wiiflow would not even see my hard drive until I updated CIOS 249 to rev 20. I want some advice or help from someone that understands the wii mod process. My wife will even offer a reward if we can get this fixed for her. Tomorrow I am going to delete all the soft-mod files and start over and hope that works if I can't get help.

I wanted to add this all started because my 2 year old tried to load 3 games in the wii at once and now the drive is broke and will not even spin up so I need this to work.

It is best to never delete anything from your Wii if you don't know what you are doing as a brick may result, just reinstall the softmod.

If the DVD optical drive is dead (I mean electrically, not functionally), you won't be able to USB HD. If the drive is "seen" by the Wii, it should work; if not, it won't. And please use the "edit" button rather than posting successive posts.

Understood ... I am just desperate ... my family was expecting to play the wii this xmas. So you are saying I can just follow all the steps I did to soft-mod it in the first place and thats ok to do? I used the Smash Brothers way, is there any better way. Can you recommend a good step by step guide to follow for 4.3? The way I used was sort of a mis-mash of information found here, on youtube and googling 4.3 softmod because I could not find a complete and up-to-date guide

The wii can see the drive electrically it is not removed, the motor is just dead that the drive carriage is just broke. and as far as edit I didn't know I could edit the initial post as that was my first post on this forum but now I know. Thank you.

new problem now, as i said before my drive is broke, however i have a wii key fusion, i loaded super smash bro on a sd card so that i could mod the wii, however now that i have mod'ed it some gator program will not let me use the wii key fusion, how can i get rid of this to start over? do i need it, if you all were me, where would you start

also, some mod'ing reference priiloader app, i followed the instruction on this site, however i do not this that program installed properly as everytime i go to use it my wii just restarts

I totally understand as I support end users for server based software myself, however I only did that because the guide posted here on the 4.3 hack seemed incomplete in that after I followed it, I had to go to wiiflow's site to figure that out and their site seemed incomplete in the way I wanted to simply use an ntfs drive with one partition so I had to find that info somewhere else, and wiiflow would not recognize my drive until I updated the ios 249 to i believe rev beta 19 which updating the ios'es was also somewhere else and I still have questions about those and how they function exactly, so as you can see there was reasons for my statement

You sure do keep adding information to the problem, all of which may be an answer to your problem. Do you have anymore additions you would like to add.

Look at the link in my signature to softmod any Wii. Following that guide, without skipping any steps, will get your Wii softmodded. I just did 2 Wii's with that guide and all went well.

1. you have a wii key fusion, that is a hard mod, and will play your backups without softmodding
2. you have softmodded, why are you trying to use the wii key fusion?
3. what is this gator you speak of?

NTFS is not the best choice for use with Wii softmods, perhaps that is why you haven't found much info on it. All usb loaders are based from Waninkoko's USB Loader, which only supports a WBFS format. FAT32 is your next best bet which was added later, but not by Waninkoko, NTFS is not the best to be using.
