Guitar Hero 6 and USB Loader

    Hi all;

Currently the Wii is modded running 4.1 and I followed this guide step by step. Everything works without hiccups.
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

Now I wanted to load up Guitar Hero 6 on the HD and run it through USB Loader. To my understanding I need a different ciOS for it to work? So I was looking at these two below guides..

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...o-5-guide.html

    and

    http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-games/69...ock-guide.html

According to that second guide it states,

    All Guitar Hero Games - Use IOS 223 v4 (Base 37 + 38)

    --- OR cIOSx Rev 20 (Base 56) --- IOS249
Well as far as I remember i installed IOS 249 with the first guide when I modded the wii.

I guess my question is do I really need to do any of the steps explained in the guitar-hero-6-warriors-rock-guide or am I just good to go with the current setup of what I did when I initially just modded the Wii and pretty much just load the game to the HDD and off I go?

    Thanks in advance!

    you got cIOS249rev17 not rev20
so either get cIOS223 and/or a new 249 or both.
i would keep 249rev17 put rev20 in slot 250 and additionaly get 222 and 223.
see cIOS as wads link below

and: of course you have to get into action if you didn't install 222/223 before, you can check by just trying it when loading the game or doing a syscheck on your wii.

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

What exactly do you mean get into action? And that cIOS Wads link i don't really understand it seems to have links where to get the wads from but checking the install instruction i dont find it very clear personally.

So i should install cIOS 222/223 into slot 250? Is there a guide how to specifically shows this exactly? I'll leave 249 rev17 as its not giving me any problems of any kind.

i meant, if you want to play a music game you have to do something about it.. you figured out on your own that you need something else than 249rev17.

see, cIOS are arranged in slots, you have 200 to 255 or something where you can put in stuff.
you only occupy 249 for now. so... put other stuff in the remaining slots.put a rev20 in slot 250 for example, get 222v4 and 223v4 and/or get 224v5.1 for example.
see the recommended setup in the cIOS thread.

and sorry for the installation. this is a simple and very basic thing you do on your wii.. you should really know how to install a wad file/replace it/upgrade to a newer version.
like: get the wad file, put to sd card. start a wadmanager, install the wad file, done.

So basically lets say if i wanted i could put 222 and 223 in slots 251 and 252? Am I getting this at all lol?

Oh the wad manager seems pretty simple to use i just dont want to overwrite something or screw something up..

Also it lists 223 in like 4 different version which one would I get?

so cIOS250[57] is that an IOS that goes in slot 250? Like im all confused now with the naming

    yeah hehe.
so, example: cIOS223[37-38]-v4.wad No. 200-250 is obviously the slot itself, that file will go to slot 223
[ ] brackets this is the number of the base IOS (or two base IOSs) used to compile this file.
v4 is the version or on other cIOS the reviosn (17 or 20 for example).

    ok so just for you

    get
    222[37]v4
    223[37-38]v4
    224[57]v5.1
    250[57]rev20
install all using wadmanager, you shouldn't brick by doing that.
afterwards you can set your loader to use one of the newly installed cIOS, e.g. set to 250, or set to 223 and enjoy your game(s).

Ah yes sir that last bit makes sense. I remember when going through USB loader last time i saw how i was able to change the cIOS it uses to load games. I could of sworn i saw 222 and 223 in there already but I'll take another look again tonight.

So its pretty straight forward installing them just place the wads in the wads folder, launch wadmanager and install. So your saying that once i choose 224[57]v5.1.wad it will automatically install it in slot 224, correct?

thanks a lot for your help!

Sorry to hijack but was wondering something similar. So it doesn't matter what wiihacks guide you used to softmod, you can update your cios using these .wad via wadmanager?

So i went into wad manager and installed those 4.. But i noticed at the first screen of Wad Manger it said Choose iOS i left that at 249.. and just choose Wii SD Slot - Wad Folder - and installed one by one.
Now when i go into USB loader i dont see any additional cIOS`s.. All i still is is 222,223, 249 and 250.. And this is after i choose the game then go settings - game loading settings

    Any idea?
