i have my 4.2u Wii modded, and games are running from the Hard Drive. Everything is Kosher, except that Homebrew Channel keeps asking if i want to update to 1.0.8 from 1.0.6. I click YES and i thought it updated. However, when i restart the Wii and click on Homebrew Channel, once again it asks me if i'd like to update. It's done this several times.
Any ideas, oh Wii Gurus? :confused:
I just did this....worked out that if you leave it until the hackmii message comes up and then press one.....it should come up with a menu, and you need to choose install home brew channel......at the update message at the start, scroll down the box as it has the instructions on it :-)
ok, am i understanding that i should run the update again, and just let it sit until a menu pops up?

The newest version of Homebrew requires IOS58-64-v6176. Download from http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...tml#post418196, install with wad manager, then try to reinstall Homebrew.Quote:

Ok, i go into Homebrew Channel, click on WAD Manager, it asks me the IOS and i click IOS249.
It then asks me to choose the NAND Emulator Device and i choose DISABLE.
Then i choose the Select Source Device and i choose Wii SD Slot
Then, i get "Error (ret = -1)"
I believe that usually mean an outdated cios. Any mods please correct me if Im wrong. What version are you running? I recommend 249 v20.Quote:

Dop-Mii will tell you what IOS's you have. It is safe to install cIOS 249 v20 over top of your current 249 (if you dont feel like screwing around with Dop-Mii)Quote:
