Games won't start in USB loader GX

I softmodded a wii with this guide:
    http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/

But when i launch usbloader GX the games i start won't show up. The screen stay's black and i have to power down the wii. I have a forwarder for usbl gx, and the drive is formatted ntfs. I have another wii which is working well with the same hdd, so that's not the problem.
I had this same issue with this wii before, and i decided to softmod it again with a tutorial from wiispelltjesdownloaden(modpack 1.0). At first that went fine, and i could play games. But a few days later the wii went bricked somehow. The screen stayed black. I had sent it to erikie for a NAND flash so the wii was working again from the state after the first softmod.

Now, the problem: i dpon't want it bricked again, so i will do things carefully now.

The following is a from signcheck:
I hope someone can give me advise on what to install, so i can play the games again, without bricking the device ofcourse.

good decision to come here, but we can't help with guides from other sites..
maybe say hello in the introduction section and get some useful links to very well working guides. (also one linked below).
stick to wiihacks and you and your wii will be fine after running through one of our guides (just install stuff on top, no need to remove anything for now, further questions go in the guide's thread).
    good luck cheers

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

I know, i know. But the guide i used from wiispelletjesdownloaden is the same as the guide in your post(below).

I just try a guide from here, and see.

btw, i am trying the guide in your footnote. I says install system menu 4.1. Ans above it says: (4.2/4.3+ wiis can skip UpdatePack.zip).
That means that although i am having a 4.1 system menu, i still have to use the updatepack? It's a bit unclear.
