    Rock Band 3 System Update -- safe?

    I am on 4.2U and softmodded, do I need to worry about applying this? Thanks.

    never accept an disk update or online update no matter what....

    install priiloader and use the hacks to block the disc updates and online updates....

    if your worried about updates in stall priiloadre and disable online and disk updates

    Some of these updates are harmless minor patches, but if this is going to apply 4.3, of course I'd like to avoid THAT.

    Well, since you're "The Expert," I guess you don't need advice then --- thread closed. Moral of the story: do as we suggest (Priiloader) or don't --- however, if you accept these updates against advice you will get no support.

    Just wanted to say THANKS guys -- Priiloader installed, system updates disabled, RB3 workin' great! Thanks for the good advice. I've always been a little wary of installing Priiloader for some reason, but it worked well for me.

    You know, if you use a usb loader to play the game from usb hdd, you will never see a disc update again.

    But then I have issues with DLC on SD card -- at least I did with RB2, I assume RB3 will be similar

    Be aware, DLC in terms of obtaining such is no longer supported by wiihacks (the other outstanding threads on DLC in general have in large measure been moved to the archived tutorial section of the site). Thought I'd mention it, as a recent development in keeping with our site rules.
