Super Smash Bros. Brawl Help (and USB GX help)

I have a 320gb Portable Hard Drive formatted to FAT32. I have 17 games (.wbfs) on my hard drive, and when I load them in USB Loader GX, they load perfectly. I recently borrowed my friends SSBB disk. I know it is a dual layered disk. I have installed it on my hard drive with USB Loader GX, messed with the loading options, tired Wiiflow, followed multiple guides. This is really stressing me out. Can anyone help me? Is it possible to play SSBB on a FAT32 drive?

I currently have cIOSX rev 17. System Menu 4.1U. Not sure about the rev on USB Loader GX, but its either current or really close to current.

    Please help. Thank you.

You might want to clarify what the exact behavior you're getting is if wanting help. You could re-rip it with Hermes IOS 222 V4 and set USB Loader GX to IOS 222 as another double-check of your work. If you rip a bad image (that was ripped in the first place with a broken DL cIOS) you'd get bad results as well. Original media?

I'll try out the Hermes v4 rip and let you know how it goes.

What do you mean by orginal media? My friends disk is a retail disk. He bought it.

That'd be good. Yes, retail disc. And you neglected to reply to my other question.

    Sorry. .....The exact behavior.

When I Press A on the disk image in USB Loader GX, I get a quick green flash with black lines, the wii disk slot light is lit quickly, and then it is just a black screen.

You try the original disc via the disc channel as well? And then original disc via backup loader? Just ruling out a couple things...

And when you use the retail disc in your Wii and launch it via backup loader?

    Doesn't matter
I installed cIOS 222. Enabled it in USB Loader GX and it worked like a charm. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
