DARKCORP installed, still cannot launch backups from disc channel

That's about it. I've installed darkcorp 1.1 full (offline installer) twice, each time nothing. I can load ISOs from the USB hard drive just fine. I just can't launch backup discs from the disc channel. Running 3.2U (Downgraded from 3.3). Suggestions?

None of our guides recommends such a downgrade (3.3->3.2) and in fact recommend or require a 3.3 to be updated to 4.1. As you haven't followed one of our guides, you are simply not providing any meaningful information. Also, if this is a newer Wii (for all I know, you could've done a 4.3->3.3->3.2 downgrade and didn't mention it), it won't play backups if around a year old or newer. First-time posters are asked to make a quick "hello" post in the Introductions section of the site; there you'll get a personal greeting and excellent starter links to our more popular guides.

Ok sorry, hi everyone ^_^ I have my own wii softmodded and just put it in a crystal clear chassis (which looks damned sexy), and am about to put my DS in a new housing as well. I plan on posting pictures up on my FB if anyone is interested.

My issue is with a friend's wii that he bought. It's an older wii, so should play backups no problem. It came with 3.2, my buddy upgraded it to 3.3 prior to asking me to mod it. I had to do a manual (read: offline) downgrade to 3.2 because I thought that was the most prudent action. I actually followed Dogeggs guide (Sorry I didn't mention it) and everything works except loading backups (launches regular games fine) from the disc channel. I've read some bad things about darkcorps lately, but I've used it on 3 wiis before this one and it worked without a hitch.

Should I upgrade to 4.2 and start from scratch? Also, I'm using the same discs that read in mine so I know the discs are good.

Thanks, sorry for the hasty first post >_<

I have taken the liberty to copy your post (I assume this is your late Intro, right?) to where it should've gone here. Best to check that after awhile, someone will respond as I had previously mentioned.

Absolutely not, stay @ 3.2 (I mean you can go to 4.1, but I'd not go beyond that). Mixing and matching IOS and cIOSFAil cIOS will often times manifest strange behavior on your Wii. I suggest you follow the cIOSCorp safe uninstall option I mention in this post and then retry the game via backup loader and let us know how it goes...

I've also installed DarkCorp and it doesn't work no matter what I do. I installed it the "Virgin" way, that didn't work. I also tried installing/upgrading it, that didn't work. I even tried uninstalling then reinstalling, that didn't work either.

What I did notice is that all the DarkCorp .wads aren't in my "wad" folder but are instead in a seperate DarkCorp folder along with a cMIOS_Waninkoko folder and a cMIOS_WiiGator. Should I move the .wads into my "wad" folder? Or should I uninstall DarkCorp first, then move the.wads then reinstall?

The only reason I'm using DarkCorp is because I used to use NeoGamma Beta R8 for the newest games like NSMB and COD MW2 (which worked perfectly), but after updating to 4.3 I'm guessing my cMIOS was wiped out? So that doesn't work and neither does WadManager (doesn't exist anymore) so I have no idea how to reinstall NeoGamma..

EDIT: My Wii is about 2 years old so it doesn't have the updated driver or whatever so that's not the problem..

I thought you needed to have an existing cios to get darkcrap to work properly.
Sent from my van, down by the river.

I believe when you install it the "Virgin" way, it installs cIOS249 rev17 (with DL bug fix) so that shouldn't be the problem.

Can I install NeoGamma the old way with WadManager by selecting IOS249 then installing the Neogamma.wad? I still have it on my SD card.
