HBC isn't upside down, rather, my remote is.

I know this seems like a weird issue, I googled and searched a bit but couldn't find too much help.

When I go to the homebrew channel the 'hand' is upside down and all my physical actions are mirrored. Yet the screen is still the right way up.

edit: Oh and it is doing the same issue for any other custom channels I have added.

    Extra info:
-When I go to the HBC main screen, it says 1.0.8 IOS61 v21.29 (I have tried reinstalling hbc with no luck so far)
-I used this excellent tutorial to mod my wii http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...y-4-2-wii.html However, had gone through about 7 unsuccessful attempts to mod my wii through other (horrible) guides from other websites.
-Mine is a 4.2 Black wii

Some small minor issues someone might be able to help me with :>

After modding I'm no longer able to use my DVD drive for my actual copies of games. AKA, I tried inserting Monster Hunter 3 and it just goes straight to a black screen. But my backup is working fine.

Any help would be much appreciated. I'm trying to read through as many threads as possible and learn all I can about the modding, but its quite overwhelming.

    Thanks in advance

Quite the situation you have there.
Upside down wiimote and can't play original disks. Never heard of that.

Haha, yeah. Well I have been reading over this thread http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ii-virgin.html and thats the other thing I'm thinking of going with, is a straight up 'clean' of the wii (I must admit, I don't really want to. Kinda scared ill brick it) and then going back through that tutorial again.

I have made a backup on the NAND but was only able to install bootmii as an IOS. So (again, I know its probably not the best place to ask) should I brick my wii, is there any other things I can do just to make sure I can save it?

I'm thinking that -maybe- a bunch of the issues are caused by all those failed tutorials I went through. Thats all I can really think of at this point.

I personally would try the softmod any wii guide found in my sig as I know it is constantly updated with the most supported versions of everything.
Don't need to delete anything just redo and it will overwrite.
    Good luck.
