Followed this guide, still resets when loading backups on disc

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

I followed this guide step by step, i mightve done something wrong, im not 100% sure.

The disc channel recognizes the disc as a Gamecube Disc, as does Neogamma, but on both, the screen turns green and the wii reboots.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

EDIT: it also didnt mention what to do about upside down homebrew after all the steps- unless i missed it

    Do i just reinstall homebrew?

Errr... disc channel? Gamecube Disc? What exactly are you trying to do? You do know there's a separate guide for GC games, right? You try searching "green screen"? You'll get a million matches...

You might as well post an introduction post, as we ask first-time users of the site as well (goes in Introductions section, naturally)

sorry for not putting more detail - i just recently got into more hacking (i only used homebrew for SSBB hacks previously, that was it)

I had burned an ISO of Super Smash Bros. Melee with music and texture hacks. The disc channel (where regular games normally load i guess) Shows the "Gamecube" icon. i can take a picture or something if you want to see it

If that's a Wii game (I know there's hacks for textures and the like), why are you using the disc channel? That's certainly a customized backup and obviously the disc channel isn't the way to go with that. If you have a GC game, look here. SSBB if true DVD9 and modified, don't forget you'd have to use a DL disc and have a layer break with regard to image creation. Sounds like perhaps a crummy burn? Your posts aren't clear on things (at least to me).

I only went to the disc channel because it seemed odd to me that the wii would just start recognizing burned gamecube games as Games

Ill try following the guide you just posted and see if that solves my problem. Thank you for your time

No problem; if continued issues, further inquiries should go in the guide I linked you to. Good luck.
